In light of EU’s self-formulated claim to leadership in the fight against climate change, this essay intends to provide a cursory overview of the legal status quo of climate migration – an important ramification of climate change – in the EU, and the developments in response to it. There is truly no lack of concrete proposals, only the lack of concrete will to revisit what already exists.
