Educating the next generation of lawyers on the topic of climate migration will bring this discourse into universities, and encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
We do this through working together with universities across the world: giving lectures or hosting panel discussions on climate migration, building partnerships with institutions and their respective departments, and enabling students to contribute to Earth Refuge through pro bono projects and interaction with our projects.Â
Panels & Events
We have spoken at events hosted by the University of Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality & Anti-Discrimination, University of Berkeley Othering & Belonging Institute, Georgetown University School of Law (IMBR), Duke University and Newnham College University of Cambridge and the University of St. Andrew’s Foreign Affairs society amongst others.
Law School Clinics
We have collaborated with International Human Rights Clinics at The University of Hong Kong School of Law, Western New England University, and the Immigrant Justice and Climate Refugee working group at UC Berkeley.
If you are interested in collaborating with Earth Refuge in a similar capacity, please email our Director of Legal Education and Co-founder Stephanie Hader at [email protected].
